Looking for some extra impressive tips to make your nails last longer… here is what the pro’s do (in addition to following instructions on the gel nail wrap box).
- Wash your hands with warm water before application and ensure all nails are free from oils and lotions. Avoid water, oils and lotions after application.
- Properly wipe and clean the surface of your nails as well as the sides of the nail beds with the alcohol pad. The alcohol pad removes any excess oils.
- Push back your cuticles.
- Before application, buff your nails slightly with our 180/240 emery board. This will help the semi-cured gel nail wraps adhere to your nails.
- For optimal results, apply the gel wraps prior to going to bed, to allow the wraps to adhere overnight.
- Avoid touching the sticky side of the gel wrap to prevent the adhesive from weakening.
- Our gel wraps are soft and stretchy so that you can fit them to any nail size.
- When looking for the perfect size gel wrap to fit your nail, we recommend cutting the gel wraps off the strip so that you avoid pressing on the incorrect size. You can also make use of your nail size chart.
- Do not adhere the semi-cured gel wraps to your skin.
- Use the cuticle stick to gently roll over and press down the semi-cured gel wrap. Repeat this a few times.
- Charge your mini curing lamp so that you can use it without the hassle of being plugged in.
- Cure your nails a few times under the uv lamp. Once you have cut your nails down to size, cure under the uv lamp. Once you have shaped after the first cure, cure again. If you apply a top coat make sure you cure for 120 seconds.
- Keep your left over semi-cured gel wraps and use to mix and match your own colours.
- Store in a dark place as exposure to light will cause the gel wraps to harden and will affect the application.
- Extended UV light exposure can potentially harm your skin. If you are doing to use the uv lamp for a prolonged period then apply sunscreen to your hands an hour before application for protection. Protect your eyes and avoid looking directly into the uv light.
